Siobhan Li
Deputy Secretary General |
I am highly active in MUN and have been to two of the largest UK conferences last year. As Deputy Sec Gen, I am delighted to host SWMUN. And as a second year law student, I am constantly stressed and have no life.
On top of that, as someone who is still adjusting to living in Britain, I unfortunately do not know what to recommend as a tourist in Exeter, but I am always down for a chill chat (preferably with food). I pledge to do my best to give everyone a professional MUN experience, and we hope to host one of the most successful SWMUN conferences. Anastasia and the rest of the Secretariat look forward to welcoming you all. |
Reuben Pierrepoint
Under-Secretary General of Finance |
As USG Finances, I am unfortunately the guy in charge of all the money. I’m in my final year of my undergraduate degree in History and International Relations, and I have spent the previous academic year in Mannheim, Germany drinking, sleeping, and generally avoiding responsibility. I’m relatively new to Model United Nations, having only started doing MUN upon arriving in university, I have fallen in love with pretending to be more important than I actually am, and meeting the huge range of people who attends these conferences. When I am not intensively studying in the library, I enjoy cycling through the countryside here and there, feeling guilty about my bank balance at the Old Firehouse.
I look forward immensely to welcoming you all to our little idyll city in the bottom corner of the country, and working with you in our committees! |
Paulina Wiatr
Under-Secretary General of Chairing |
I am a final year International Relations student, originally from Poland, now based in Exeter straight after coming from my Year Abroad in Madrid, Spain.
I have been MUN-ing since my high school years and have been an active member of EXMUN since day one in my first year. When I am not debating, I usually spend my time baking and nourishing my future Type 2 Diabetes, reading whatever falls into my hands, or volunteering in the local school. Alongside the wonderful SWMUN Secretariat, as USG Chairing, I will try my best to make sure that this conference will be the best one yet. |
Zeeshashirin Bandyopadhyay
Under-Secretary General of Delegates |
I have been doing Model United Nations for a little over 3 years now and have attended more than 8 conferences. I have always had a passion for political topics and I am currently a second year History and International Relations student.
AS USG Delegates, I will be in charge of the delegate application process and will be the first contact for any questions regarding the application process and the conference. I look forward to working with the rest of the Secretariat to plan the conference for you, dear delegates, to make SWMUN the best MUN experience you can have. |
Jack Lovejoy
Under-Secretary General of Partnerships |
I am a second year International Relations student, and this is my fourth year engaging in Model United Nations, this is my third time in a Secretariat and second time in the SWMUN Secretariat in particular -- which I have previously served as Under-Secretary General of Allocations and Communications for SWMUN and WestMUN.
In my spare time I like to read, write, practice speaking French and get lost in foreign cities because I have no sense of direction By the start of this academic year, I have attended 26 conferences (though I expect that number to be higher by the start of SWMUN), and with such experience, I hope to make SWMUN the best it can be. I look forward to seeing you all at Exeter. |
Umang Sinha
Under-Secretary General of Press & Publicity |
I am a second year Mathematics with Economics student with a great passion for politics and its development. I have done Model United Nations for a little over 5 years and each conference has been increasingly enlightening, amusing and truly memorable event for me. I hope you guys will have the same experience during this year’s SWMUN!
In my free time, I like to explore the vibrant city of Exeter, play some tennis and watch ‘How I Met your Mother’ for the umpteenth time. As one of the USGs of Press & Publicity, I am looking forward to meeting you all soon! |
Sam McKenzie
Under-Secretary General of Press & Publicity |
I am a second-year History student. I only discovered Model United Nations at the start of my first year in university and have greatly enjoyed this new style of debating, alongside crisis, ever since. I hope that whether you are a beginner or an experienced MUNer, you will either start to love or continue to enjoy this sort of debate. As one of your USGs of Publicity, you will probably see me staring at my phone at the conference most of the time, attempting to keep you all updated with what you need to know. |
Başak Yalçin
Under-Secretary General of Logistics |
I am a second year law student and while this is my first time being in the Secretariat, I have started engaging in Model United Nations 3 years ago. Having taken up the position of Social Secretary for EXMUN and being the upcoming VP, I am highly excited for this opportunity as USG Logistics.
Whenever I have free time, I spend it by travelling with a map glued to my hand, learning new languages and reading (mostly about history). Working together with the rest of the Secretariat, we are very excited and motivated to make Exeter SWMUN a great experience for everyone. |
Javier Monroy Yepez
Under-Secretary General of of Socials |
I am a second year Politics and International Relations student, originally from Venezuela but have lived in the UK for 8 years. I was an MUN coordinator at college, leading the delegation to win best delegations two years in a row.
I am interested in anything political, love a good debate and make sure that everyone’s voices are heard. I am a friendly and approachable person, who enjoys mixing the seriousness of debate issues, with a more relaxed and informal discussion. I promise to make everyone at SWMUN feel included, allowing everyone to enjoy the conference and their time in Exeter to the fullest. |
Tyler Hiller
Under Secretary-General of Crisis |
I’m a 2nd Year Law student who has been doing MUN since A-Levels, making this my 4th year of MUN. I have been secretariat at 2 previous conferences: As USG Logistics and DSG. What little time I have left after my Law reading I spend playing video games and reading fantasy novels, to maintain some balance. Having attended 19 conferences, 8 of which were crises, and running one of the few crises in the South West, I hope my experience with attending and organising conferences means I can provide the best crisis experience possible for SWMUN V. |
